We are committed to providing appropriate health prevention and maintenance by having Nursing Supports available to individuals who require additional supports maintaining their health and wellbeing.
- Based on the individual’s assessed needs, Nursing Support Services are provided to assist individuals with understanding their healthcare needs through Nursing Consultation, Nurse Health Case Management, and Nursing Delegation.
- Nursing Consultation – A Registered Nurse (RN) reviews information about the individual’s health, medical, and nursing needs, and provides recommendations, training, information and/or protocols to the individual and their caretakers.
- Nurse Health Case Management – RNs oversee and manage health issues and interactions with direct support staff and health service providers on behalf of the individual receiving services through A&S Compassion Care (ASCC).
- Nursing Delegation – Registered Nurses (RNs) provide health case management and the delegation of nursing tasks for an unlicensed staff to perform acts that may otherwise be performed only by an RN or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in accordance with the Maryland Board of Nursing regulations at COMAR 10.27.11. *A&S Compassion Care requires all unlicensed direct care staff to be Med Tech Certified. (Supervised by the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Registered Nurses)
- Nursing Support Services do not include any direct nursing care services or any provisions thereof.
