Community Development Services (CDS) provide individuals with opportunities to participate in community-based activities that support building and strengthening social connections, socialization, life-long learning, recreation, and personal development.
- This service is completely community based and supports the individual to be more connected to their community. ASCC staff will support the individual to develop or maintain social and other skills they need to feel confident interacting with all types of people in their community.
- Qualified staff will support individuals in becoming more integrated, independent, and engaged in the community through meaningful and purposeful activities.
- Staff will support the individual’s growth and development through participation in local community events, volunteer opportunities, and an unlimited number of other community-based activities.
- Community Development Services can be provided in small groups of up to four individuals, with similar likes and interests.
- Each individual will have an individual activity schedule based on their preferences, interests, and choice that supports integration in, and access to, the community.

- Travel Training (Getting from one place to another)
- Technology
- Money Management
- Relationship Building
- Fitness/Wellness
- Creative Arts
- Mindfulness Activities
